Our Activities Co-ordinators arrange entertainments and activities for the residents which are seasonal and themed or smaller 1:1 activities. A weekly calendar of events is displayed in the sitting rooms. We aim to cater for a wide range of interests which are person-centred. In the summer our easily accessible patio provides a sunny spot to take in the views and its’ raised planters opportunity for those with green fingers to continue their hobby.
Church services are held in the Home regularly, and some residents are able to attend the local church. A hairdresser visits Annesley every week and is available by appointment. Daily papers can be delivered on request. We also work with community groups to enable residents’s integration within the locality.
Our activities not only are not only person-centred but are also value-based. This enables more meaningful activities for each individual resident. This evidence-based approach is shown to increase the quality of life of residents, while also reducing levels of anxiety and depression.
